LUDZIDZINI:King Mswati has thanked both the print and online media for the wide coverage and keeping the citizens informed during elections.

Speaking during the Sibaya national gathering on Monday, the King said he was following the elections from both the online and print media adding that, the application developed by the Elections and Boundaries Commission(EBC) also played a significant role in updating and informing the Nation about the results.

“We applaud the role played by both the print,online media including social media platforms for the role they played in disseminating information during elections. Even the app developed by the EBC enabled us to follow the results,” said the King.

The King then congratulated all newly elected Members of Parliament(MPs), Tinkhundla TetiNkhundla and Bucopho for winning, he said it was exciting to follow the “ups and downs” of the results during the elections.

“While following on the app, you would see that so and so is leading but few minutes later, another one leading.It was indeed an exciting experience and it reminded me of elections in other countries”, said the King.
