MBABANE: Jacob “Gedlembane” Shongwe, one of eSwatini well-known actors,has been expelled from eTV Isitha drama for allegedly misbehaving, this Swaziland News has reliably gathered.
When this publication contacted the actor on Monday evening,he declined to comment.
Reached for comments,Futhi Simelane who allegedly organized the acting job for the eSwatini actor said, she doesn’t even want to talk about Gedlembane.
“I don’t even want to talk about him, he created lot of troubles here and almost messed-up the whole drama. Script writers had to find a way to fade him out because at times, he was not available to shooting making lot of excuses. It was like he wanted to be begged to do his job, he would sometimes tell us that he is a busy man in eSwatini,” said the agent when speaking to editor Zweli Martin Dlamini.
It has been disclosed that, the eSwatini actor was getting paid two thousand Rands(R2000) per-day for appearing on the iSitha drama, at some point, he was paid sixteen thousand Rands(R16,000.00) for appearing for only eight(8) days.
The production company was also paying for accommodation in a Guest House including transport costs every-time the actor cross the boarder to South Africa for acting.
