MBABANE:Mbongwa Ernest Dlamini,the President of the Swaziland National Association of Teachers(SNAT) is facing dismissal after being found guilty of absenteeism.
The SNAT President who is facing political persecution by the ruling regime has been found guilty by the Teaching Service Commission(TSC) after disciplinary proceedings continued in his absentia.
“The Teaching Service Commission wishes to state that after careful consideration of all the evidence that was presented against you and the subsequent oral and written submissions that were made by the initiator, the Commission has found you guilty of the charge of absenteeism without justifiable reason that was levelled against you”, reads the letter in part.
Efforts to reached Dr Amos Mahlalela, the TSC Chairman proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report.
Reached for comments, the SNAT President confirmed receiving the letter adding that, the intention of the TSC “is to dismiss” him.
“The intention here is to dismiss me, the disciplinary hearing continued in my absentia and my lawyer was not present”, said the SNAT President when speaking to editor Zweli Martin Dlamini.
