MBABANE: Sincedile Dlamini, the suspended Chief Procurement Officer in the Ministry of Health who is a subject of an investigation into the disappearance of drugs in public hospitals, was a happy woman on Friday evening.
Dlamini was allegedly making calls to various people close to her expressing happiness after the King announced Russel Mmiso Dlamini as the new Prime Minister.
“This is the end of our matter, Russel is my close friend, skim sami awati nje ngijabule kwani, indzaba yetfu seyiphelile”, said the Chief Procurement Officer in the Ministry of Health when speaking to one of her friends, further details of the conversation cannot be revealed to protect our source.
Reached for comments, Sincedile Dlamini, the Chief Procurement Officer in the Ministry of Health said, she knew the Prime Minister at professional level but denied making calls to some her friends describing him as her “skim”.
“The Prime Minister was working for the National Disaster Management Agency(NDMA) and if you were working on COVID-19 issues, there’s no way you can claim not to know him. I know him at professional level not personally and what you need to understand is that, my matter is pending in court and this, should tell you that I don’t have ‘tikimu’ If I had ‘tikimu’ I wouldn’t have gone to court but my tikimu(friends) could have fought for me. I wouldn’t have done that, I respect bantfu labadzala(elders)”, said the Chief Procurement Officer.
On another note, the Chief Procurement Officer ran to court this week seeking an order lifting her suspension, she is alleged to have colluded with suppliers to loot millions of public funds.
