MBABANE: “New Prime Minister(PM) Russell Mmiso Dlamini failed to account for about R180million COVID-19 donations,” Zweli Martin Dlamini, the editor of this Swaziland News told Rise FM,a South African radio station on Wednesday evening.

The editor said the Prime Minister, a former Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of the National Disaster Management Agency(NDMA) was summoned and questioned by the Parliament Public Accounts Committee(PAC) and he failed to account for the public monies.

“The new Prime Minister was once summoned by Parliament, there’s a Committee in Parliament known as the Public Accounts Committee(PAC) whose core or fundamental duties is to ensure that public funds are accounted for and he was called to account for about R180million and these were the monies donated by the international organizations and of course private companies in eSwatini after the eruption of the COVID-19 pandemic. Those monies were supposed to be distributed to members of the public but suddenly, they disappeared and there were some allegations suggesting that,Mr Russell Dlamini colluded with the royal family in particular King Mswati, to loot those public funds,” said the editor.
