“We are working towards ensuring the availability of water for all emaSwati”, Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini tells world leaders during UN Climate Change Conference.

DUBAI: Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini says,Government is working towards ensuring the availability of water for all emaSwati.

Speaking during the ongoing United Nations(UN) Climate Change Conference held in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates(UAE), the eSwatini PM further mentioned that, the Government seeks to promote and utilize production of renewable energy such as solar, wind and hydroelectricity.

 “We also seek to promote and utilise sustainable production of renewable energy such as solar, wind and hydroelectricity and to ensure availability of water for all people.It calls for resilient integrated water management practices to fight drought and water scarcity,” said the Prime Minister as quoted by Government online platforms.

The PM further mentioned that, through the National Action Plan, Eswatini seeks to improve the food systems of one hundred(100) vulnerable communities to enhance their resilience against climate shock and foster sustainability, enhance at least three(3)watershed and catchment areas and mainstream water resource management.
