LOBAMBA:Futhie ‘MaMkhize’ Ngcamphalala who recently lost elections at Nkilongo has been elected as Lubombo Regional Member of Parliament(MP) after ‘beating’ former Deputy Speaker Trusty Gina.
Ngcamphalala who adopted the ‘never give-up’ principle, was elected by Members of Parliament(MPs) on Wednesday afternoon.
On another note, Thandeka Mavuso who lost elections to MP Marwick Khumalo at Lobamba Lomdzala was also elected as Manzini Regional MP.
Others include Lindiwe Mamba who was elected as Shiselweni MP and Tanele Zanele Magagula who won as Hhohho Regional MP.
Reached for comments, Nonhlanhla Dlamini,the Executive Director of the Eswatini Action Group Against Abuse(SWAGAA) congratulated the new women MPs for being elected into the House of Assembly.
“We congratulate them and hope they will uphold integrity and work with other MPs in developing the country.Maybe we can also thank the Parliament administrators for concluding the Regional Women MPs Elections quickly, this time they did well.We hope the new women MPs will also assist in raising issues affecting women in the country”, said the SWAGAA Director.
