NHLANGANO:Mancoba Khumalo, the Minister of Commerce,Industry and Trade says, five thousand(5000) jobs will be created upon the completion of four(4)factory shell projects.

The four factory shells,as reported by Government online platforms on Wednesday, are in Nhlangano, Gamula,Lubuli and Hlathikhulu.

“We continue to believe that Parliament will support the factory shell programme. We want to build more factory shells around the country in such a manner that people wake up from their homes and go to work and come back home, rather than incur exorbitant rental and transportation costs to and from work,” said the Commerce Minister.

Reached for comments by this Swaziland News,Wander Mkhonza, the Secretary General of the Amalgamated Trade Union of Swaziland(ATUSWA) said,as a union, they welcome government efforts to create jobs but they would also appreciate quality jobs with decent salaries.

“We appreciate government efforts to create jobs but we would appreciate to have quality jobs with decent salaries. As you might be aware that in the country, due to the high level of poverty,an employed citizen is feeding more than five(5) people. So the salaries earned in the textile industry are very low”,said the ATUSWA Secretary General.
