MPUMALANGA:Simphiwe Dlamini,the International Secretary of the Communist Party of Swaziland(CPS) has confirmed that, the political organization held its Annual Summer School this week to discuss amongst others, strategies of seizing power to achieve democracy.
In a public statement sent to Swaziland News on Tuesday afternoon, Dlamini said,the ten(10)-day school took place in Mpumalanga,the Republic of South Africa from the 18th December, it would be concluded on 28 December 2023.
The International Secretary said,the CPS Summer School “is historically the pillar” in building the capacity of the democratic movement and the shaping of the political situation in the country towards a genuine democratic dispensation.
On another note,Thokozani Kenneth Kunene,the CPS General Secretary said, one of the key tasks of the Communist Party was to produce revolutionary intellectuals not just for the political organization but the entire Mass Democratic Movement(MDM).
”One of the key tasks of the Communist Party is to produce revolutionary intellectuals not just for the Party but also for the mass democratic movement, and also produce new cadres for the insurrectionary seizure of power to achieve Democracy Now”, said CPS General Secretary.
The Summer School also received messages from Swaziland and international progressive organizations including the Lesotho Teachers’ Trade Union,Ramakhula,the President of the Lesotho Teachers Union delivered a message on behalf of the union.
The Lesotho delegation attended the entire school, sharing experiences with delegates and learning from each other.
