MBABANE:Daniel Dlamini,the Anti Corruption Commission(ACC) Commissioner has left office without investigating a single corruption case and securing a conviction with the courts.
The ACC Commissioner was paid more than fifty thousand Rands(R50,000.00) per-month as a salary for the past five(5) years,the monies sourced from public funds amounted to over R3million.
Efforts to reach the former ACC Commissioner proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report.
On or around 21st December 2023,Prince Simelane,the Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs released Legal Notice No.371 of 2023, appointing Maphevu Mkhatshwa as the Acting Commissioner of the Anti Corruption Commission(ACC).
On another note, Afrobarometer listed eSwatini as the most corrupt country in Africa and this, was disputed by the eSwatini Government.
