MBABANE:Eswatini’s largest and main political party, the People’s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO) has declared 2024 as the year of revolution.

Delivering the end of year and New Year statement,PUDEMO President Mlungisi Makhanya further disclosed that, the political organization will work towards forcing the release of prisoners of conscience.

“PUDEMO would like to declare 2024 as the YEAR OF THE REVOLUTION.We commit,working together with our people,to bring to an end the incestuous relationship between big business and royal supremacists in our country.It is at the heart of this supremacist patriarchal capitalist system where everything is for sale, including the land, economy,freedoms, and dignity of our people.To eliminate this cancer, we need to deal with the root cause: the parasitic royal supremacist regime.We accordingly believe that the time has come for our people to objectively evaluate the role and usefulness of the institution of the monarchy and its complicit role in their misery.We furthermore continue to pledge our full solidarity and support to all incarcerated prisoners of conscience.We will,together with other progressive organizations in the Mass Democratic Movement intensify campaigns for their release, including profiling all political prisoners languishing in Tinkhundla prisons”, said the PUDEMO President.
