MANZINI: Jeremy Liang, the Ambassador of the Republic of China on Taiwan distributed rice to residents of Manzini South on Saturday.
The Ambassador was with Owen Nxumalo,the Constituency’s Member of Parliament(MP) who doubles as the Minister of Education.
On another note,the People’s Republic of China(PRC) wants to create jobs through infrastructure development.
Eswatini is the only country in Africa with no diplomatic relations with China and economic experts told this publication earlier that, the country was depriving itself economic development opportunities.
Brian Sangweni, the Spokesperson of the Eswatini’s main and largest political party, the People’s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO) said, “it’s part of their policies” to support the establishment of diplomatic relations with China.
“It’s part of our policy as PUDEMO to ensure that Taiwan is isolated and treated as a province of China”, said the PUDEMO National Spokesperson.
