One of the basic values and principles of diplomacy is the engagement of diplomatic partners directly or indirectly in a manner that advance national interest and in this regard, communication skills and understanding of diplomatic issues remains fundamental.
Even though China does not have diplomatic relations with eSwatini,China is an influential strong ally to the country’s largest trading partner South Africa and therefore,any decision that People’s Republic of China(PRC) might take against eSwatini could be implemented via South Africa particularly on issues of trade and investment.
Government Spokesperson Alpheous Nxumalo committed a huge diplomatic blunder,by accusing China of housing visiting ‘terrorists’ from eSwatini.
