MBABANE:Chief Magudvulela,the senior Prince of the Hhohho Region says,Mswati never expelled him as a member of Inyatsi regiment but, there were certain people within royalty who were working tirelessly to set him against the King.
This comes after the Prince was summoned and stripped-off his Smohlwana,a symbol of loyalty to the King.
The Prince was falsely accused of plotting against the King after visiting China with other Members of Parliament(MPs) and Senators to explore investment opportunities that the country could benefit if diplomatic relations were to be established.
Speaking to this Swaziland News during an interview on Friday morning when asked to clarify if he attended Incwala ceremony after reports suggesting that,he was expelled from Inyatsi regiment,the Prince said he participated until the end of the ceremony.
“I participated in the Incwala ceremony from the beginning until the end but upon arrival at Buhleni kukhona lona lowabonakala kungatsi unenkinga kodvwa-ke sitambona ngalelinye lilanga loyo.The King came-out clear on this matter through his Spokesperson Percy Simelane that he was not aware that I was expelled, there are certain people who are bitter why the King is more closer to BantfwabeNkhosi bakaHhohho. Manje-ke iNkhosi ayibangwa, Inkhosi yeMhlaba”, he said.
When asked to disclose the name of the person who had a problem with him at Buhleni Royal Residence during Incwala, the Prince asked this journalist to contact Qethuka Sigombeni Dlamini.
“Uboke sotfole Sigombeni, sowumbute kutsi yini lenkinga yakhe”, he said.
It has been disclosed that,King’s Praise Singer Qethuka Sigombeni Dlamini who abused the name of the King and expelled the Prince from Inyatsi was furious after seeing the Chief closer to the King every-time he addresses the Nation and during Incwala at Buhleni.
Efforts to reach Sigombeni Qethuka Dlamini proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report.
Clarifying the genealogy from King Mswati II,the senior Prince said the Hhohho region was under BatfwabeNkhosi who originate from Mswati II after emaKhosikati to the late King were allocated(kuphakelwa).
“What normally happens is that emaKhosikati are allocated(kuphakelwa) and then the children becomes Chiefs.Tsine nje kwanela kuhamba Mswati wesibili, kwase kuphakelwa lamaKhosikati. That’s why the Hhohho region is under BatfwabeNkhosi and this include places like Mshingishingini, Ndzingeni kwaphakelwa Inkhosikati LaNyandza.In our Chiefdom, Inkhosikati LaMagaca from the children of Soshangane.So Nkhosi what I’m trying to explain as you have just asked, we are born children of King Mswati II,the father of Prince Magudvulela,that’s why I am using Magudvulela as my Chief name.Magudvulela was the father of Prince Mancibane.UmtfwaneNkhosi Mancibane watala boBabe nababoBabe Mabandla.Prince Mbilini comes from the royal household of Prince Gija, he is the son of Prince Heleba and all of us, we originate from Mswati II”,said the Hhohho senior Prince.
Prince Magudvulela further mentioned that,despite what happened to him,he understood that,the King was not part of the persecution.
On another note, BatfwaNkhosi from King Mswati II’s Royal Household who occupied powerful positions during Sobhuza and King Mswati III’s reign include former Prime Minister Prince Mabandla, Manzini Regional Administrator Chief Prince Gija and former Prime Minister Prince Mbilini among others.
