SwaziPharm Director Kareem Ashraff who allegedly defrauded the State over R600 million donates medical equipment worth R1.8million to the Ministry of Health.

MBABANE:Kareem Ashraff, the SwaziPharm Director who was recently exposed for defrauding Government over R600million, resulting to the shortage of drugs in public hospitals,has donated medical supplies to the Ministry of Health worth R1.8million.

The donation was accepted by Khanya Mabuza,the Principal Secretary(PS) in the Ministry of Health on Monday.

“Use this donation to save the lives of emaSwati in hospitals”,said the SwaziPharm Director when handing over the R1.8million donation.

The donation comes at a time when the Government through the Commerce Minister and Chairman of the Health Crisis Cabinet Select Committee Mancoba Khumalo had promised that drugs purchased by Government will be delivered in January 2024.
