Eswatini facing shortage of passports,Home Affairs Minister Princess Lindiwe cites global supply challenges amid demand for travel documents after COVID-19 pandemic.

MBABANE:Princess Lindiwe,the Minister of Home Affairs has acknowledged the shortage of passports in eSwatini citing huge demand and global supply challenge after the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a public statement released on Tuesday,the Home Affairs Minister said Government was engaging the supplier to fast-track the production and shipment of the travel documents ordered.

“We would like to assure the public that the Ministry of Home Affairs is dedicated to providing efficient and transparent services to all citizens. We are committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism within our Ministry, and any reports of misconduct or corruption will be throughly investigated and addressed in accordance with the law”,said the Minister through the press statement.
