Government Spokesperson Alpheous Nxumalo committed a huge blunder by threatening human rights lawyer Thulani Rudolf Maseko’s widow Tanele Maseko and we are eagerly waiting for the day when the United States(US) Senate Committee on Foreign Relations pass Resolution 174 that seeks to impose sanctions on human rights violators in the Kingdom of eSwatini. 

Personally,I tried to warn Government Spokesperson Alpheous Nxumalo that his conduct will one day create international troubles for the country but alas,he opted to exercise power against this publication by banning public officials from commenting or responding to this Swaziland News.

Now, the threats he issued against Thulani Rudolf Maseko’s widow are cited by international human rights advocates including Senators of the United States,clearly this country will suffer harshly because of Alpheous Nxumalo’s verbal diarrhea.

Lawyer Thulani Rudolf Maseko, the then Chairperson of the pro-democracy MultiStakeholder Forum(MSF) was assassinated in front of his wife and children, only for Alpheous Nxumalo to threaten a grieving woman merely for expressing her pain and calling for justice for her husband.

The killing of Thulani Rudolf Maseko will not just fade away as per Government wishes, we want an international investigation into the assassination of the human rights lawyer.

That Government claims Thulani Rudolf Maseko was not killed by Mswati’s mercenaries or the State is not involved, does not mean the demand for an investigation will be silenced.

Government must allow an international investigation and the report will tell us who killed Thulani Rudolf Maseko,we want that person and his partners in crime behind bars.

Threatening those who are demanding an investigation will not wash away Thulani Rudolf Maseko’s blood from the hands of this cruel and oppressive regime but instead, Government Spokesperson Alpheous Nxumalo is pushing the country to the political donga.

US Senators who are members of the Foreign Relations Committee urged their colleagues to speed-up Resolution 174 and Government Spokesperson Alpheous Nxumalo must read that Resolution to understand what it means for the country and the authorities.

It is for that reason,some of us don’t believe Alpheous Nxumalo loves the King, you cannot claim to love the King and the institution of the Monarchy while recklessly speaking in a manner that attracts sanctions against the same King you claim to protect.

Alpheous Nxumalo is just a desperate fellow who is all over the place,trying to demonstrate loyalty to the King and the Tinkhundla system.

Unfortunately,his desperation is creating more troubles for the country as whatever comes from his mouth is interpreted as a Government position.
