MBABANE: The Office of Government Spokesperson Alpheous Nxumalo has been sabotaging royal events linked to the King for sometime now,Incwala was not adequately covered in Government pages.
On Saturday, King Mswati commanded Prince Sicalo, the Principal Secretary(PS) in the Ministry of Defense to represent him at India’s 75th Republic Day, the important event which falls under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was not captured on Eswatini Government pages.
The pages are normally dominated by events attended by Commerce Minister Mancoba Khumalo who receives massive political mileage.
Thabile Mdluli,the Deputy Government Spokesperson, a former Eswatini Observer journalist was recruited by the Commerce Minister from TeeJay Woodworks were she was working as the Markerting Manager, Mdluli first joined Government as a Personal Assistant(PA) for the Commerce Minister.
A questionnaire was sent to Government Spokesperson Alpheous Nxumalo,however, he had not responded at the time of compiling this report.
During Incwala,the editor of this Swaziland News Zweli Martin Dlamini contacted the Office of the King to enquire why the State online pages were not adequately covering the ceremony and King’s Spokesperson Percy Simelane acknowledged that he was also noting the sabotage and urged the journalist to monitor the Ministry of Home Affairs online pages.
It has been noted that,the State online pages is also used to push the agenda of a few Cabinet Ministers,some are not given political mileage.
