MBABANE: Saneliswa Magagula, the Secretary General(SG) of EmaSwati For Change has released a statement on behalf of the political organization, expressing solidarity with wrongfully convicted pro-democracy Members of Parliament(MPs) Mduduzi Bacede Mabuza and Mthandeni Dube.
The MPs were arrested in July 2021, they were subsequently convicted on politically motivated terrorism charges merely for demanding democracy and/or an elected Prime Minister(PM) inside Parliament.
“EmaSwati For Change firmly supports former MPs Bacede Mabuza and Mthandeni Dube, who have endured unjust imprisonment since July 2021,facing baseless charges of terrorism resulting in a wrongfully conviction in 2023. In the past two days, the courts have heard Bacede Mabuza and Mthandeni Dube deliver powerful and heartfelt statements, providing profound insights into the lived experiences of the people they passionately represented in Parliament-the very reason they have been unjustly incarcerated since 2021. Their statements also reveal in part ,the extent of their suffering, as well as that of their families and dependents", reads the statement in part released by the Secretary General of EmaSwati For Change.
The order to arrest the MPs was allegedly issued by King Mswati, an absolute Monarch with Executive, Judicial and Legislative powers.

EmaSwati For Change stands in solidarity with convicted pro-democracy MPs Bacede Mabuza and Mthandeni Dube.
