MBABANE: Themba Fakudze, the Managing Director of Crime Stop Security has been accused of refusing to pay salaries for more than two(2) months now, while threatening workers who complain with dismissal.
As a result,the security guards told this Swaziland News this week that, they are struggling without food and accommodation as landlords are demanding money for rent.
“We are struggling without food and money for rent and when we complain, we are threatened with dismissal”, said one of the security guards.
Reached for comments on Saturday evening, the Crime Managing Director said he was not aware of security guards with pending salaries and asked those with complaints to call him.
The Managing Director said he “suspects that his enemies”were out to destroy him amid scramble for tenders.
“Hey Hlubi not sure abt them pls ask them to call me l only knows for those who are being paid on the 18th which is Monday kosh.It’s tendering time Hlubi this days our enemies are trying their best Kosh let’s them call me will sort them”, said the Crime Stop Managing Director when responding to editor Zweli Martin Dlamini.
On another note, the Managing Director is alleged to have called a meeting and demanded to know who leaked the information after editor Zweli Martin Dlamini posted on his Facebook page that, the security guards were struggling without salaries.
Crime Stop is not the only security company struggling to pay salaries these days, other employees for security service providers are complaining with the same delay, in the payment of salaries.
