LOBAMBA: Chief Ndlaluhlaza Ndwandwe, the Minister of Public Works and Transport has announced the change of number plates again.
This means, Government will cash millions from members of the public in the project, the change comes less than fifteen(15)years since Government changed number plates.
The Minister told the Senate Portfolio Committee on Monday that, the proposed number plates will increase security as it will ensure owner and vehicle identification. The number plates according to the Minister, will have the identification for the purpose of road traffic regulation and national security, he said the new number plates design would be plain white with a QR code.
The Public Works and Transport Minister further said this will enable scans by CCTVs to be installed on public roads.
