A questionnaire was sent to Police Spokesperson Senior  Superintendent Phindile Vilakati, however, she had not responded at the time of compiling this report.

In a public statement tagged to this Swaziland News in the early hours on Thursday, the African Initiative of Women Human Rights Defenders(WHRD) Initiative demanded the release of Maseko’s widow.

“It is very disturbing that the State can be mobilized to relentlessly torment and harass the family of the slain human rights lawyer Thulani Maseko in this manner merely because of Tanele Maseko’s persistent demand to know who the killers of husband are and for them to be brought to justice” said Constance Mukarati, Co-Director of the organization.
