PRETORIA:His Excellency George Kaiyamo, the Namibian Ambassador to China says as a country, they look forward to more Chinese investment and the strengthening of bilateral trade,the Global Times reported.
It has been reported that,the Ambassador’s remarks were made during the recent Third China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo held in Changsha, Central China's Hunan Province where representatives from fifty-three(53) African countries and twelve(12) international organizations gathered to further boost cooperation, with deals worth $19.1 billion were signed.
The expo offered another crucial platform for cooperation in various fields and further proof of thriving China-Africa economic and trade ties.
The Namibian Ambassador further spoke highly of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI),emphasizing the importance of cooperation with China in infrastructure development connectivity and trade.
“We are present at the expo to learn from China's best practices and explore opportunities for Chinese companies to cooperate and invest in Namibia,"Ambassador Kaiyamo told the Global Times.
