DRUGS SHORTAGE MULTIBILLION SCANDAL: Judge Ticheme Dlamini removes from court role SwaziPharm Director Kareem Ashraff’s application to be furnished with Funduzi Forensic Services fraud and corruption report.

MBABANE: Judge Ticheme Dlamini has removed SwaziPharm Director Kareem Ashraff’s application from the court role where he was seeking to force Cabinet, to among others,surrender the Funduzi Forensic Services health crisis investigation report.
The report came subsequent to an investigation launched by Finance Minister Neal Rijikernberg into the multibillion looting and/or disappearance of drugs in public hospitals.
Judge Ticheme Dlamini removed the matter from the court role after both parties agreed that,the matter where the politically connected businessman was seeking to be furnished with the report,has become academic.
When a matter becomes academic in legal terms, it means it has been overtaken by events and/or has lost relevance but, in most instances such matters could be reinstated should new facts emerge.
The application by Ashraff lost relevance after Finance Minister Neal Rijikernberg tabled the report in Parliament, contents of the report were also widely reported by this Swaziland News.
SwaziPharm Director Kareem Ashraff, as per the report, stands accused of looting of looting over R1billion resulting to the health crisis, dozens have died since the health crisis erupted. 
The businessman is represented by senior lawyer Zweli Jele from Robison Bertram.
