MBABANE:Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini is highly expected to apologize unconditionally to Auditor General(AG) Timothy Matsebula and withdraw his statements attacking the AG or be summoned by Labadzala.

This was disclosed by a senior member of the royal family who described the Prime Minister’s statement where he labelled the AG incompetent amid demands for the accountability of the missing R210million, a threat to the country’s international image.

“A message has been communicated to him to call a press conference and apologize to the Auditor General(AG) and the Nation kodvwa-ke ngive batsi ushaya ngendvuku phansi utsi yena ngeke acolise.Asati-ke utawutsini ngoba kumele acolise iNgwenyama ingakabuyi, akukameli Lomudze abuye akhandze lomsindvo.Ngitakwatisa kutsi kugcina kwentekani ngoba Libandla kungenteka limbite atochaza, yona iyashisa lendzaba ngoba natsi iNkhosi itawusibuta kutsi senteni kuyilungisa”, said one senior member of the King’s Governing Council.

The Prime Minister declined to comment when questioned by this Swaziland News on Saturday evening when will he call a press conference and apologize unconditionally, to the Auditor General(AG) over the statements that triggered a constitutional crisis and subsequently resulted to the Public Accounts Commitee(PAC) suspending sittings.

“It is important that we have to begin to look at whether the reports of the Auditor General can now be relied upon. Yes I’m saying that, just hold on, just listen you need to listen to that.We now have to work on whether the reports of the Auditor General can be relied upon.Let me give you an example;the country now understands that there’s R180million missing from NDMA, there was never R180million that is missing. Now he has actually said, there’s another R30million,so people have began to write about R210million,all that is false I can surely tell you, it is false and in fact it points to the incompetence in that office”,said the Prime Minister when responding to a question posed by Bheki Makhubu, the editor of the Nation Magazine during a Breakfast Meeting with editors at the Mountain View on Thursday.
