The shortage of drugs is not a minor issue that will just fade away from the public discourse particularly because as you read this, patients in the various public hospitals who can’t speak for themselves are in pain with no hope except,to take the last breath.
It is therefore surprising to see King Mswati who always portrays himself as a Head of State who loves his people,opting to use international trips just to loot public funds with his children,brothers and sisters including loyalists while ordinary citizens who can’t afford Medical Aids die within the public hospitals amid shortage of drugs.
The consistent international trips are a systematic way of looting public funds with Mswati at the centre of this stealing of taxpayers money.
In the trip to South Korea and Singapore,the King’s delegation will share over R65million public funds,this money could have saved lives if it was utilized to purchase drugs in hospitals.
Clearly,King Mswati does not in anyway,represents peace in this country but killing of poor civilians through various means including the rampant looting of public resources with intent to completely destroy the health system.
That SwaziPharm Director Kareem Ashraff travelled to South Korea and Singapore as part of the King’s delegation suggests that,Mswati might have been complicit in the looting of billions within the Ministry of Health.
Mswati is a very ‘clever’ thief,he might be acting like he is avoiding Ashraff just to control the public opinion and act clean.
It cannot be justifiable to see an alleged criminal like Ashraff who allegedly looted over R1billion public funds,flying to South Korea and Singapore as part of the King’s delegation, Ashraff is supposed to be in prison.
Kareem Ashraff is an alleged corrupt criminal who is now running the Government with his remote control in Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini while looting public funds that he then share with Mswati.
The shortage of drugs in public hospitals is not only affecting the patients who are already there,all of us will get sick one day and therefore,we have an obligation to ensure that the health crisis is addressed as a matter of urgency.
