LETTER TO THE EDITOR:Swazi TV employees financially struggling and it’s getting worse.

Monday, 17th June, 2024

Dear editor, thank you for the opportunity to write about what is happening at Swazi TV in your widely read publication.

Editor, as Eswatini TV employees we are financially struggling and the situation is getting worse.

Government approved a 6% salary increase but as the workers we haven’t received it as we speak.

Almost all the workers here are in huge debts and landlords are locking them out of their rented houses, some are suffering from depression.

A few years back, salaries were increased but the journalists under the newsroom department were left behind.

We are urging you to be our voice and urge the Chief Executive Officer(CEO) Mlamuli Dlamini to work on this issue.

As for that John Molelekeng who labelled those fighting for democracy “ematsabelangoti”, he has many scandals here including sleeping with female staff because he is the editor.

But part from that, those who want to attend well-paying workshops and international trips,he normally demand a bribe, wala nelikuku he frustrates you.

Sibonge Mhleli Longetulu akuvikele usakhulumela sive sendlu lemnyama.
