MBABANE:Bishop Mpendulo Nkambule has applauded Evangelist Linda Dlamini for criticizing King Mswati’s lavish lifestyle amid the high unemployment and poverty rate in the country.

This comes after Dlamini released a video where he came hard on the King for looting public resources and wearing expensive watches,in a country where a majority of the citizens live in poverty, the Tinkhundla Government has been criticized for ensuring that emaSwati live in poverty.

“Evangelist Linda advocating for social justice and there’s nothing wrong with what he said.Every public figure must be criticized and subjected to scrutiny”, said the Bishop.

But Government Spokesperson Alpheous Nxumalo posted on his online platform where he normally insults those calling for democracy, thretening the Pastor for expressing his political views.

“Those who are close to this young man must warn him against the journey he is taking of insulting the King.A lot of Emaswati supported this young man calling himself Evangelist Linda.He must not allow himself to be misled by people who want to use him to advance political points.The very same King he insults using lies is a huge believer that has never compromised the word of God.Government is currently addressing a number of issues, following His Majesty's call of Nkwee to take people out of poverty”, said the Government Spokesperson when posting on his online platform.

Nxumalo then linked the Pastor’s views to terrorism and urged him to stop insulting the King.
