MBABANE:Sergeant Hlumile Magagula,the alleged girlfriend to Defense and Security Principal Secretary Prince Sicalo allegedly abused the name of the Prince to defraud over five hundred(500) emaSwati monies amounting to over R10million,promising them jobs in the army and His Majesty’s Correctional Services.
The victims who contacted this Swaziland News after this publication broke the story on Monday alleged that,Sergeant Hlumile created a Whatsap group of aspiring soldiers and Correctional Services officers who had already paid the bribes.
“In the Whatsap group, we were over 500 and the bribes were between R45000.00 and R50,000.00.She made it clear that those who were in the group had already paid and waiting for an announcement to start training.We were made to quit our jobs including University after the false promises”,said one of the victims.
The victim further told this publication that, after realizing that they have been scammed, they then understood that Prince Sicalo was not part of Hlumile’s syndicate collecting the bribes.
“The Prince was not part of this, it was Hlumile who abused Sicalo’s name to collect these monies as she was known to be the Prince’s girlfriend. So many people including myself had a reason to believe that, she could assist in securing the jobs and that,the bribe was demanded by Sicalo when in fact, she had another boyfriend who was assisting her in collecting the money”, said the victim.
An alleged Ben 10 to Sergeant Hlumile told this Swaziland News current affairs program on Monday that,the Correctional Services officer paid her about one and twenty thousand Rands(R120,000.00) as a gift adding that,Hlumile was laundering the money through his Mobile Money account.
The Ben 10 said he was then advised by Magagula to flee and hide in South Africa after the Prince allegedly became aware of their relationship.
Defense Principal Secretary Prince Sicalo declined to comment about the matter while Sergeant Hlumile Magagula’s phone rang unanswered.
On another note,Ben 10,who is now in the wilderness alleges that,Sergeant Hlumile Magagula was supposed to be married by the Prince and they were hiding their relationship.
