MBABANE:Lawyer Sicelo Mngomezulu,the Chairperson of the pro-democracy MultiStakeholder Forum(MSF) has warned against individuals who do live videos insulting political leaders and then release bank accounts collecting money from the public pretending to be real freedom fighters than others.
Mngomezulu was speaking on Swaziland News Visionary Perspective program hosted by human rights defender Velaphi Mamba.
“EmaSwati must be careful of these individuals who do live videos and insult political leaders.You will note that,shortly after insulting the leaders including us,they then release bank accounts saying they are the ones who are real freedom fighters and collect money from the public”, said the MSF Chairperson.
On another note, the sentiments of the lawyer come after this Swaziland News received a complaint from Sibekiwe Mamba,a Liswati based in the United Kingdom(UK) who sent a proof of payment saying she “has been conned” by warder Bheka Magagula.
“Bheka took my R20,000.00 saying he was going to buy tools for the struggle and when I asked him, he told me many contradicting stories”, she said.
Mamba then sent voice notes where she was communicating with the warder and in the voice notes,the warder was explaining and sharing contradicting versions when asked about the tools.
Magagula is now collecting money from the public is the same warder, who insulted political leaders in live videos.
The warder said the real freedom fighter “is him” while accusing political leaders of delaying the struggle,he was not available for a comment.
Mngomezulu further mentioned that,through his Mngomezulu Foundation,he donated five hundred thousand Rands(R500,000.00) to assist children of the struggle victims.
“We are taking care-of some of the children of these individuals who are insulting us”, said the MSF Chairperson.
