EZULWINI:King Mswati says,democracy is diversity and therefore, there’s no one blanket that can suit all people in their diversity.
The King was speaking through his representative Prince Lindaninkhosi during the commemoration of the 248th anniversary of the United States Independence Day in Ezulwini on Wednesday.
“For every Nation,independence ushers fundamental human rights to chart their future as an independent state,where the citizens can decide the architecture of their system of governance.Independence is always anchored on the principles of nationwood, custom and culture, the constitution of every Nation’s origin and the way they want to be led.So, as we work our democracy,let us allow each other to grow on our ethnic principles and foundations as there’s hardly no one blanket democracy that will suit us all in our diversity”, said the King as quoted by Government online platforms.
The King further applauded the American people for developing their country into one of the leading economies of the world.
“We urge the American people to continue to uphold the ideals of your liberators and share your success with the global community.We all have a huge responsibility to nurture this relationship for the benefit of our peoples and future citizens. Our country remains confident of a future with an American Government that is committed to the development of the African people”, said the King.
Prince Lindani was representing King Mswati during the US Independence.
