LOZITHA: King Mswati says eSwatini values the diplomatic relations that exist between eSwatini and Uganda including the Kingdom of Lesotho.
The King expressed these sentiments when welcoming and receiving letters of credence from His Excellency Ntsime Jafeta, the new High Commissioner of the Kingdom of Lesotho,the further welcomed His Excellency Paul Amoru,the High Commissioner of the Republic of Uganda.
“We value our good friendship,cooperation and ties that exist between our two countries.We congratulate Uganda for successfully hosting the recent two summits which were held in Kampala.The declaration made during the Non Aligned Movement (NAM) Summit represented our aspirations and we can work together especially because most of us are from developing countries”, said the King as quoted by Government online platforms.
On another note, Lesotho High Commissioner Ntsime Jafeta acknowledged that,the relations between his country and eSwatini been a bit dormant adding that,the relations must be revived.
“We need to work jointly to explore viable areas of collaboration that will contribute to the advancement of both our economies and subsequently the lives of our People”,he said.
His Excellency the Ugandan High Commissioner Paul Amoru expressed his commitment to work with the King’s Government “to deepen further the cordial relations between the Kingdom of Eswatini and the Republic of Uganda”.
