It is very unfortunate to note that, once certain individuals like Ok Foods Director Lincon Motsa come closer to the King, they automatically think they are untouchable and therefore, they can engage in corruption with impunity and without fear of being held accountable.
Ok Foods Director Lincon Motsa is an alleged ex-armed robber together with friend Freight Associan Chairman Sihlangu Nhlabatsi and these two(2) former alleged thugs, are no-longer using weapons to rob the people but, they ‘graduated’ to do business with the ‘spirit’ of being robbers or corrupt upon them.
Recently,we published a story about truck owners who were complaining that Lincon Motsa and his friend Sihlangu Nhlabatsi were colluding to grab a multimillion Grindrod deal.
As the media we published the story because it’s our duty to be the voice of the voiceless particularly in exposing corruption that deprives others access to fair job or business opportunities in the country.
But instead of clarifying the issue,Lincon Motsa opted to harass this journalist and maybe, being an ex-armed robber at Lobamba and surrounding areas he thought I will be intimidated by him,NO,he cannot scare me.
SwaziPharm Director Kareem Ashraff once visited Mozambique to hire killers and one of the hitmen who is an influncial businessman in that country and a fan of this Swaziland News made efforts to ensure that, the editor of this publication receive the information urgently and prioritize safety.
Journalists interacts with everyone including businesspeople, dangerous criminals, royal family members, political activists,I have on numerous occasions, saved by dangerous criminals who provided me with critical information, some of the criminals are closer to the very same Lincon Motsa, my sources are everywhere.
Journalism connects you with people of different characters and the Ok Foods Director must know that,he is not the master of the game in this country, our story was merely meant to highlight the plight of truck owners,we were not targeting him.
In the ‘jungle’ of alleged criminals, there’s a hierarchy that includes junior, senior and bosses, most of these bosses are very sensitive to bad publicity but, intelligent and experienced criminals don’t harass journalists, this means Lincon Motsa is lacking the basic emotional intelligence.
But because he demonstrated arrogance we ended up approaching intelligence files to dig-up his past so that, people can know that he was engaging in armed robberies, journalism has a way of exposing people who think by being influential, they must then undermine the media.
Motsa can underpay his employees and engage in corruption but he must never think independent journalists are his ‘boys’, personally I know more powerful businessmen who respect journalists and even if I have written stories, they have a polite and professional way of addressing journalists and disclosing new facts.
I don’t own a single truck that transports coal from Belfast to Sidvokodvo and Mozambique but as a publication, we were approached by truck owners who asked this Swaziland News to be their voice,we did just that.
Recently,I interviewed a former girlfriend to the King but I focused on the public interest angle and left all the private pictures or information because I am not here to scandalize people unjustly but to report facts.
We understand that, we are dealing with people’s reputations and we must therefore be responsible in our reporting of course without depriving the public access to information.
But if the King made efforts to deny the story and tried to fight this journalist,he could have seen or read information he never thought we have in the public domain because that would have meant,we must do or reveal more to prove our story and the only way, would have been to publish private information, because private information could be of public interest if the available facts are disputed or challenged.
So if Lincon Motsa want to see something different about his corrupt business dealings,he must continue harassing journalists,we have written stories about dangerous criminals here and therefore, cannot be intimidated by him.
A businessperson is a public figure because businesses impact and collects money from the people for provision of services and therefore, businesspeople are subject to public scrutiny.
Ok Foods Director Lincon Motsa who owns the Ludzeludze filling station that is an alleged conduit for corruption must clarify the Grindrod multimillion deal and, why some truck owners who are not connected to royalty are sabotaged.
But if Motsa is ready to attack journalists,we have a way of humbling him, resources of this country cannot be enjoyed by a few members of corrupt gangs linked to royalty, other truck owners must enjoy equal opportunities.

Ok Foods Director Lincon Motsa.
