MBABANE:Mlungisi Makhanya, the President of the People’s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO) has applauded Julius Malema, the leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters(EFF) for prioritizing the struggle of the eSwatini people.
Eswatini is ruled by King Mswati as an absolute Monarch, political parties are banned from participating in elections while human rights defenders,political activists, independent journalists and pro-democracy Members of Parliament(MPs) are arrested,tortured or killed for demanding democracy.
MPs Mduduzi Bacede Mabuza and Mthandeni Dube were recently convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment merely for demanding democracy, they were found guilty by royal linked Judge Mumcy Dlamini on politically motivated terrorism charges.
“We are also here to report as we appeal for solidarity and support, that comes the month of October, we have resolved collectively as the suffering people of Swaziland that, with your support and the support of other peace and loving democracy people,we want to shutdown that country”, said the PUDEMO President.
PUDEMO is eSwatini’s largest, main and influential political party with international Allie’s that include the EFF,the African National Congress(ANC),the South African Communist Party(SACP) and other political allies around the world.
