PRETORIA:Velaphi Mamba, the Treasurer General of the People’s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO) and Director of the Visionary Perspectives eSwatini led activists in the the "Radio,702 Walk The Talk" on Saturday in Pretoria to amplify the call for a democratic eSwatini.
“The Radio 702, Walk The Talk” Walk is held annually in South Africa for a certain course.
Speaking to this Swaziland News after the eight(8) kilometres walk, Mamba said,their course was to call for the independent investigation into the cold-blooded murder of human rights lawyer Thulani Rudolf Maseko and the release of political prisoners in eSwatini.
"We are walking for a big course here, eMaswati were brutal killed by Mswati’s regime in 2021,there are political prisoners including MPs Bacede Mabuza and Mthandeni Dube and we also demand the independent investigation into the cold-blooded murder of Thulani Rudolf Maseko.It is for that reason we have joined the "Radio 702 Walk The Talk" walk to the tell the world about the plight of the people of eSwatini," said the PUDEMO Treasurer General.
PUDEMO is eSwatini's largest, main and influential political party.
Eswatini is not democratic but, the country is ruled by King Mswati as an absolute Monarch, political parties are banned from participating in elections while human rights defenders, political activists, independent journalists and pro-democracy Members of Parliament(MPs) are arrested, tortured or killed for demanding democracy.
