MBABANE:Nuro Ntimbane, a senior police officer led a team of police officers who invaded the Standard Bank Eswatini Offices on Wednesday,seeking to remove Wandile Dludlu,the Deputy President of the People’s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO) and Youth League President Sakhile ‘Awviva’ Nxumalo who participated in the ongoing strike action.
Ntimane told the Standard Bank workers that,Dludlu and Nxumalo were not workers hence they cannot be allowed to participate in the strike action.
This comes after the workers demanded to know why the police invaded their legal strike action and Ntibane later explained.
“Don’t turn this strike action into a political rally,we know that Wandile is not working for Standard Bank”, said the senior cop.
The police then abducted Sakhile Nxumalo, the leader of the PUDEMO Youth League, the Swaziland Youth Congress(SWAYOCO).
Political activists are arrested,tortured and killed in eSwatini for exercising their right to protest, the police further questioned why Dludlu was wearing a PUDEMO t-shirt.
