Lungile Lydia Makhubu,a police officer based at the Hlathikhulu Police Station evicted her husband Dumsani Masuku,a disabled ex-USA Distillers employee.
The escalating cases of violence and abuse perpetrated by women against men remains a matter of public concern, we cannot speak about abuse against women in isolation, while on the other hand, some women abuse men with impunity knowing that the law, will favour them.
Masuku told this Swaziland News that, he was injured while on duty and his employer, the USA Distillers paid him R600,000.00 as compensation which he then used to build a home.
But now, the disabled man is being evicted by the wife, on Friday evening he was sleeping in a tent outside his home as the wife defied a court order, directing her to allow disabled Dumsani Masuku back home.
This is one of the most Gender Based Violence(GBV) cruel story I’ve ever handled in the history of my journalism career and, it left me wondering how many men in our society are subjected to this cruelty by heartless women.
Masuku used all his money to build a home thinking that, the wife was also inlove with him yet Lungile Lydia Makhubu was interested in money and abusing him, most men are victims of such false pretenses by women, some men were taken to court and made to maintain children they never fathered.
The Deputy Prime Minister’s Office must handle this case fairly and ensure that, disabled Dumsani Masuku is allowed back home, we cannot speak about abuse against women, while men in our country are suffering in silence.
Pictures the police officer harassing her disabled husband at the gate or the entrance of the home, the man is disabled and can’t live a normal life.
This is a clear case in terms of Eswatini Law and Custom, Lungile Lydia Makhubu must leave Masuku’s home if she decided to dump him because of his disability condition, and move on with other men.
As journalists, we will be monitoring this case to its finality, some women are abusing men in this country and we need also discourage that, we will also condemn violence against women.
But some women have a tendency of abusing men and then act as if they were abused, what Lungile Lydia Makhubu is doing to the disabled man is a clear act of nonsense that must be stopped, Masuku must be allowed back home.

OPINION:Women are worse perpetrators of Gender Based Violence(GBV),action must be taken against police officer Lungile Ludia Makhubu who evicted disabled husband from his over R600,000.00 home.
