UGANDA:King Mswati has been warmly welcomed by Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, the King is in Uganda for a three(3) days State visit.
Addressing Ugandan President and other high profile individuals in that country, the King who arrived on Wednesday and “is accompanied by Inkhosikati Siphelele LaMashwama”, thanked President Museveni for the warm welcome and further urged African countries to unite through the newly established African Continental Free Trade Area(AFCFTA) for economic emancipation.
“It is time, as African countries, that we exploit fully the vast mineral resources at our disposal to turn our fortunes around. Clearly, from the things we are able to produce by ourselves, it is time we share expertise, take advantage of the vast resources we have and start to dominate the economic space.The creation of the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AFCFTA) gives us that opportunity and we need to seize it with both hands,” said the King.
On another note, Government online platforms reported on Wednesday that, Ugandan President Museveni urged African countries to partner with his country in the newly discovered petroleum gas.
“Since we have discovered petroleum gas, we feel it is time we call upon our brothers and sisters in the continent to partner with us in this project.They can invest in the pipeline and refinery while we take care of the crude oil”, said the Ugandan President.
