MBABANE:Mduduzi Matsebula, the Minister of Health recently visited the Mbabane Government Hospital amid reports suggesting that, rats were ‘terrorizing’ patients but, the situation is allegedly worsening.
Reached for comments on Wednesday afternoon,Lucky Dlamini the Chairperson of the Swaziland United Democratic Front(SUDF) said the Tinkhundla system has failed the people and will never admit its failures.
“No Government will ever admit that it’s systems have collapsed and the Tinkhundla system long collapsed. What they will do whenever a crisis erupt, they will claim to be investigating, conduct tours, Commission of Inquires just to pretend as if they are working but the challenges will remain unaddressed”, said the SUDF Chairperson.
The Health Minister toured the Mbabane Government Hospital about two(2) weeks ago to verify the situation but,the rats are reportedly terrorizing the patients.
Minister Matsebula failed to respond on Wednesday afternoon and clarify what Government has done to address the situation.
Eswatini is facing a health crisis amid shortage of drugs in public hospitals, the Government is now reportedly failing to clean the hospitals and as a result, rats are allegedly terrorizing the patients.
