LOBAMBA:Manzi Zwane,the Nhlambeni Member of Parliament(MP) wants SwaziPharm to be ordered to pay back R9million for allegedly selling donated drugs to Government.
This transpired during the recent sitting of the Public Accounts Committee(PAC) where Directors of SwaziPharm and AvaPharm representatives were questioned by Members of Parliament(MPs) amid the disappearance of drugs and public funds within the Ministry of Health.
Swazipharm,a company with links to Kareem Ashraff stands accused of looting millions within the Ministry of Health resulting to the shortage of drugs in public hospitals.
Dave Melvin who was representing Swazipharm failed to produce documentation including purchase orders for the supply of the alleged donated drugs but, it transpired that the payment was made despite the fact that, the drugs were donated.
Eswatini is facing shortage of drugs in public hospitals, hundreds have died since the crisis erupted triggered by alleged rampant corruption.
