The alleged corruption within the Royal Science and Technology Park(RSTP) is deeper than we can imagine, allegations of double payment of salaries and the inclusion of removed Chief Executive Officer(CEO) Vumile Dlamini’s alleged girlfriend must be investigated.

On Saturday evening, we published part of the RSTP payroll with salaries of the employees, it’s a pity that amid such a high level investigation involving millions of public funds, there are individuals, some who studied law, who claims salaries of public servants are private. 

Any salary paid with monies sourced from public funds cannot be private, all employees of the Royal Science and Technology Park are public servants and some are yet to explain if their salaries qualifies them to own houses worth millions, Vumile Dlamini was not alone in the alleged looting.

In journalism, there’s a time when the public interest principle supersedes the right to privacy and where there are allegations of corruption, we will do our job as journalists and expose corruption.

We are still analyzing more documents to identify story angles, the multimillion looting within the Royal Science and Technology Park(RSTP) is one of the biggest scandals in the country, those responsible must be held accountable.

I remember receiving a letter from a lawyer who claimed the publication of Chief Procurement Officer in the Ministry of Health Sincendile Dlamini’s pay-slip was unlawful, any public figure or public servant whose salary is paid with public funds, that salary is not private but of public interest.

We have more documents obtained during the course of this investigation into the allegations of fraud and corruption within the Technology Park, removed CEO Vumile Dlamini was even using public funds to buy vehicles for girlfriends, some were included in the payroll.
