MBABANE:Vumile Dlamini,the removed Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of the Royal Science and Technology Park(RSTP) is allegedly blaming the Royal House of Prince Mgunundvu for his ongoing troubles within the State owned company.

Dlamini,the grandson of King Sobhuza and son to Prince Vovo, is implicated in an over R100million fraud and corruption scandal in that, he allegedly colluded with suppliers to loot public funds, documents suggest that,the matter was investigated by the Anti Corruption Commission(ACC) and subsequently sabotaged.

But in Whatsap communication obtained by this Swaziland News, the removed Chief Executive Officer(CEO) allegedly blames Mvilawemphi Dlamini, the Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of the Eswatini Communications Commission(ESCCOM), another grandson of King Sobhuza whose father is Prince Siyela from the house of Prince Mgunundvu where Prince Masitsela originates.

In the messages, Dlamini alleges that Prince Mvilawemphi is behind his downfall together with Principal Secretary(PS) Phesheya Dube who is born from the house of the late King Sobhuza and Mswati’s trusted man, ex-Army Commander Fonono Dube.

Dlamini, in his Whatsapp communication on the matter with various individuals, seem to be convinced that, the house of Prince Mgunundvu is out to destroy him,he said, the King has been praising his work and this did not go down well with those who are jealous of his achievements.

Furthermore, in the messages, the removed CEO accused Prince Mvilawemphi of traveling with PS Phesheya Dube for weeks, paying for his perdium and air tickets.

The Chief Executive Officer who was removed by Information, Communication and Technology(ICT) Minister Savannah Maziya for alleged corruption, declined to comment.

Reached for comments by this Swaziland News on Monday,Eswatini Communications Commission Chief Executive Officer Prince Mvilawemphi clarified that, Vumile Dlamini “is his brother and he would never do such to him”.

“Sivusela wena Ngwane. Vumile is my brother, and I don’t want to believe that he would say such. I will just take it as a rumour. Truth be told, I have no business wanting to have him removed from his position. I have nothing against him, as a brother and as a human being.My mandate ends with ESCCOM.I believe there are structures that government put in place to deal with recruitment and renewals of contracts, i.e. The Board, and the Minister,” said the ESCCOM Chief Executive Officer.

But amid the tension subsequent to the non-renewal of the Science and Technology Park CEO’s contract, Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Information, Communication and Technology(ICT) Phesheya Dube recently confirmed through a public statement that, Acting CEO Dr Andile Metfula was receiving death threats.

On another note,the house of Prince Mgunundvu where Prince Mvilawemphi originates is the most senior house within the royal family under King Sobhuza.

But Vumile Dlamini is also born from another powerful royal house where Prince Phiwokwakhe, Prince Vovo and Princess Mantfombi, the mother of Zulu King Misuzulu originate.
