MBABANE:Mao Ning, the Spokesperson in the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs says, they believes Eswatini will eventually terminate diplomatic relations with the Taiwan Province and, recognize the trend of the world and make the right decision in line with the trend of history.
The Spokesperson was addressing a press conference in Beijing on Wednesday when commenting about the African country's development of official relations with the Taiwan region.
"There is but one China in the world, and Taiwan is an inalienable part of China's territory. This is a prevailing consensus among the international community. There is an overwhelming support for the one-China principle among African countries, and they believe that China-Africa cooperation is conducive to Africa's economic revitalization and sustainable development. The development of official relations between Eswatini and Taiwan region is not in the interests of Eswatini itself. We believe that sooner or later, Eswatini will recognize the international trend and make the right decision in line with the trend of history,”said the Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson.
