Chief Mtfuso II of KaMkhweli was removed and forced into exile by King Mswati and his brother Prince Maguga.

I remember visiting Ludzidzini Palace at a young age, we went there with my grandfather Prince Mgungu and some of his brothers under the house of Prince Msimudze, one of my grandfather’s brothers was close to Indlovukazi and we were there “kuyovusela eMakhosini”.

While sitting next to the kraal adjacent to Libandla Room, I saw Prince Maguga who was walking in crutches, he came out of the Libandla Room and went straight to a tap to drink water, he was shouting and visibly angry.

But because I was young, I didnt understand and knew nothing about the Macetjeni-KaMkweli issue, my memory recalled as I grew-up learning how a legitimate Chief of KaMkhweli was forcefully removed and forced into exile by Prince Maguga and Mswati.

Prince Maguga was a serious problem within the Royal Family, he was making endless demands from Mswati because he was once a Crown Prince(Liphosakubekwa).

As a result, King Mswati decided to sacrifice another member of the Royal Family Chief Mtfuso just to neutralize Prince Maguga and his supporters within the Royal Family.

Worth-noting, the Chief Mtfuso II also known as Nkenke Dlamini, who was exiled by Mswati and Prince Maguga is the son of Mahlabandzaba, the son of Ntengenyane, the son of Mtfuso I, the son of Mabandla, the son of Mgulube, the son of Sigwadzini, the son of Mkhweli, the son of Nyanya, the son of Prince Lunyangu, the son of Prince Mavuso who was the son of Ngwane III.

The Chief who was forced into exile is a member of the Royal Family and kaMkhweli area was named after his great-grandfather Prince Mkhweli but he was evicted.

In absence of democracy, it seems no one is safe under King Mswati because he did the same thing with the Mamba Clan, a legitimate King who was Crowned by the Mamba Royal Family was removed by armed police and soldiers and is exiled in Europe fearing for his life.

Chief Mtfuso Dlamini was exiled by Mswati and Prince Maguga, if Mswati can sacrifice a royal blood to remain in power how much more ordinary citizens?.

An old man who never chose to be a Chief, was forced into exile by other Dlaminis who believe, they are more superior than others in this country, they did the same with the Mamba Royal Family.

Mswati might not even be removed by ordinary citizens, he will be removed by us, the descendants of previous King’s because one day he might consume us like Chief Mtfuso.

This should be an eye opener to all the Dlaminis who are closer to the Royal Family, this regime can consume even a royal blood just to remain in power.

It is for these reasons we need to regulate the powers of the Monarchy and democratize this country because as the situation stands, no one is safe.

I was raised by my grandfather he used to advise me to regularly attend traditional events at Ludzidzini Palace, I love my culture but I’m worried about Mswati, what they did to Chief Mtfuso was very painful.

Unlike me, Chief Mtfuso is not a journalist and his matter was easily forgotten,why is King Mswati persecuting citizens including his own blood?.

The solution here is democracy and under the new democratic dispensation, Chiefs will be regulated, protected and submit to the principles of the rule of law.

No single man will ever wake-up in the morning and decide to remove a Chief.
