MANZINI:Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini has sponsored the Mangwaneni “No Hard Feelings” Dance Group with ten thousand Rands(R10,000.00), the Dance Group was among the winners at the Eswatini International Trade Fair(EITF) that ended this week.
The Prime Minister also crowned His Majesty's Correctional Services as the overall winners of the Eswatini International Trade Fair 2024 (EITF) Stand Excellence Awards, Government online platforms reported on Monday.
“I recently visited Indonesia and got to witness a dance troupe perform. They looked so good in their dance outfit and I thought to myself Eswatini can also do the same. My wish is for this dance group that performed here today to buy themselves an outfit of their choice so that they look the part.The Eswatini International Trade Fair has grown tremendously over the past 56 years, making it the one event to look forward to every year. This is now more than just a trade fair, but it has become a network of great business ideas and a launchpad to regional and external markets.The Trade Fair aligns with our recently completed Programme of Action for the current term as well as the Grand Plan of Transformation, which both seek to exponentially grow the Eswatini economy”, said the PM.
The closing ceremony of the Trade Fair was attended by among others, Commerce,Industry and Trade Minister Mancoba Khumalo, Manzini Regional Administrator Chief Prince Gija and other high profile people.
It was held under the theme ‘Accelerate Business Growth through Digital Transformation,’ which emphasised the Government’s Nkwe call to enhance and speed up service delivery and leverage on new technologies to grow business and promote investments for job creation and economic growth.
It had been reported that, during the closing ceremony, Olivert Bongi Mukabeta (39) of Mbikwakhe walked away with a Toyota Starlet Cross worth over E320 000 as the winner of the Win-A-Car competition. Also winning in various categories were Royal Eswatini Police Service, Ministry of Housing and Urban Development and the National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA).
Other winners were the Eswatini National Housing Board, ESWADE, FSRA,Taiwan, Lesotho, MacSteel, Macmillan, Delta Pay, Eswatini Bank, IDCE, MTN, Tribe Studios and the Immigration department.
