LOBAMBA:Vusumuzi Dlamini, the Fire Sector Chairperson led workers of the Department of Fire and Emergency Services who delivered a petition to Parliament on Friday morning.
This comes amid a serious crisis in the country as the Department of Fire has collapsed under the leadership of Chief Fire Officer(CFO) Luke Lushaba, a retired civil servant whose contract was questionably renewed.
Private and State infrastructure worth billions were destroyed by fire as the Department is no longer competent.
Despite the serious of the situation, Lobamba Police tried to stop the fire fighters from delivering the petition to Parliament.
But before the eruption on the ongoing fire crisis, nurses also tried to deliver petitions, raising awareness about the shortage of drugs in public hospitals, they were also treated the same way and attacked by the police and the health system literally collapsed.
Eswatini is currently facing the health, education, unemployment, poverty and now fire crisis under the undemocratic Tinkhundla system of Governance.
