Mbabane East Member of Parliament(MP) is a hardcore loyalist of the Tinkhundla system of governance, he demonstrated that even while working as a journalist and editor of the Times Weekend Edition.

This means in terms of political ideology,I don’t agree with MP Welcome Dlamini because I believe in multiparty democracy but our common interest is the country.

While the MP was working as a journalist, we used to clash to a point where others thought, we will never say ‘Hello’ to each other, it was a mere clash of political narratives that reached the boiling point not a personal fight. 

But this week, I managed to get electronic recordings from the State Intelligence Unit where Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini was speaking about various issues privately, I am privileged because some of the recordings are not in the public domain except for those we released.

In one of the recordings, Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini labelled MP Welcome Dlamini as a weak MP who loves money hence he will easily capture him with international trips.

The PM is missing the point, MP Welcome Dlamini won elections to be in Parliament and knowing his capabilities, he can be a better Prime Minister than Russell Mmiso Dlamini. 

I am saying this objectively because I’ve worked with MP Welcome Dlamini in the media and regardless of our political differences, I strongly disagree with the PM that Welcome is weak.

In fact and in my view, it is the Prime Minister who is weak and is embarrassing and, bringing the name of His Majesty the King into dispute with his political behavior.

The PM must blame the person who told him that, he is the most intelligent person in this country, even in Cabinet, there are men and women who are far better than Russell in terms of intelligence.

Recently, the King through His Royal Highness Prince Senzangakhona was officially launching “BakaNgwane” film produced by Foreign Affairs Pholile Dlamini-Shakantu. 

Before joining the print media, I was a script-writer, producing drama plays for the State owned radio,  with the likes of well-known writers Abel B Mdluli, Vuyo Dlamini who wrote the famous “Siphampanana” drama and writers, I got to know King’s Spokesperson Percy Simelane in that industry as he was a talented actor. 

Indeed, with the likes of former Justice Ministry Principal Secretary Hugh Magagula and Ntjilontjilo Chorus Group Mathokoza Director Mathokoza Sibiya, we were part of the locally produced “Blood Lines” drama that played on Swazi TV, SABC and other countries in the Southern African Development Community(SADC) region.

When Foreign Affairs Minister Pholile Dlamini-Shakantu announced that, she had produced ‘BakaNgwane’ film, I realized that the woman is intelligent not because I agree with the script that centralized “BakaNgwane” to the Dlamini clan but, because I know that, not everyone can produce a professional film or a drama.

The truth is, you have to be in another level of intelligence to produce a film or drama.

Minister Pholile outsmarted us, he concluded the project without the knowledge of the media, Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini hasn’t concluded any project except to steal public funds, hunt and clash with independent journalists who question him.

As mentioned,that Russell is the Prime Minister does not mean he is the most intelligent person in this country, in fact he is the worst PM as Nation Magazine editor Bheki Makhubu suggested.

I might be the editor of this widely read online publication but,that does not mean I am the most intelligent journalist in the country, there are other journalists who are far better than me waiting to have an opportunity to shine.

Once you perceive yourself as the most intelligent person than anyone else, you are likely to behave like Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini,this man is a disaster in waiting.

Labelling MP Welcome Dlamini as a weak MP is not only an ‘insult’ to the MP but a demonstration suggesting that, it is actually the PM who is weak, no wonder he is intimidated by independent thinkers like Information Minister Savannah Maziya.

MP Welcome Dlamini was one of the best journalists with writing skills in the media and as mentioned, I may not subscribe to his Tinkhundla ideology but,he is far better than Russell Dlamini in terms of intelligence.

Russell Dlamini is the most weakest and stupid Prime Minister, Bheki Makhubu was right and I am tempted kulilela iNkhosi, yangenelwa libululu endlini by appointing this arrogant Prime Minister, in fact the King was misled, no sane Head of State can appoint such an emotionally weak PM.

Once you mix arrogance with stupidity, you are likely to receive disaster as the end product, Russell Mmiso Dlamini is a disaster.

Even if MP Welcome Dlamini was weak as the PM suggests, does he mean he is the kind of a leader who wants to be surrounded by weak individuals?.

“Welcome ngitamtsamtsa abe ngakimi ngoba u-weak”, this means the PM wants weak individuals around him so that he cannot be questioned.
