MBABANE:Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini says his picture with controversial investor Mobeen Meldi that was published by editor Zweli Martin Dlamini in only on his cellphone and the investor and therefore,he wonders how it reached the editor.
The Prime Minister was speaking to another high profile person shortly after his return from Lesotho on Saturday, the high profile person then leaked the conversation with the Prime Minister to the editor.
“That picture is only in my cellphone and the cellphone of the investor and I don’t think Mobeen is the one who sent it to Zwemart.The question is; wasitfola njani lesitfombe Zwemart?. Lokwenteka lana we met in the house with the investor and I then went to the factory on a Sunday after church ngayobuka. Kodvwa-ke sengdvudvutwa kutsi iNkhosi ngeke ingibulale ngentfo lebhalwe ngu-Zwemart”, said the Prime Minister.
The PM declined to comment when asked about the investor.
On another note, Prime Minister Russell Dlamini tried to interfere and impose Mobeen Meldi, the controversial investor who was rejected by the Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority(EIPA) on the grounds that,he was not financially capable to invest in the country.
The investor then used alleged corrupt means to secure documentation for his biscuits factory by approaching the PM after being rejected even by Commerce, Industry and Trade Minister Mancoba Khumalo.
But in the conversation with the high profile person, the PM further expressed concerns about the person who recorded him and sent the recordings to Zwemart.
The Prime Minister was referring to the recent electronic recordings leaked to the editor by senior sources within the State Intelligence Unit,where he was speaking about various issues,including how he captured Swazi Observer editor and Chairman of the Editors Forum Mbongeni Mbingo who “is his alleged spy”.
