16 Days of Activism: Women want alleged serial royal rapist arrested

Wednesday, 25th November, 2020

MBABANE:Sibongile Mazibuko, the President of the Ngwane National Liberatory Congress (NNLC) says women will not rest until the alleged serial royal rapist who raped a University student is arrested.

Speaking during a women rights advocacy program hosted by One Billion Rising Campaign African on Swaziland News audio channel, the political activist said it was clear that a 'royal rape' is not prosecuted in this country as the perpetrator was rewarded with a powerful position instead of facing justice.

"We want to see justice in this matter, it's painful because the Minister of Justice is a woman, how would she feel if her daughter was raped and the perpetrator receives prosecution immunity?" said the NNLC President.

It is alleged that Prince Sicelo Dlamini allegedly raped the Univesity of Swaziland  student in 2018 in Manzini and senior police officer Clement Sihlongonyane who was acting on a command from the authorities sabotaged the investigations thus denying the victim justice.
