MBABANE:Cleopas Dlamini,the former Prime Minister has been seen on numerous occasions, driving without security after being allegedly dumped by the ruling undemocratic Tinkhundla system of Governance.
It’s been a year now since Dlamini vacated office and like ex-Deputy Prime Minister(DPM) Themba Masuku, the King hasn’t appointed him into any political position or Governing Councils(emaBandla).
On Thursday morning, the former PM was seen driving a Grey Jeep at Bethany next to Inyatsi Construction offices, without any security or personal bodyguards.
When this Swaziland News disclosed earlier that, the former PM was without security, Government Spokesperson Alpheous Nxumalo denied this,saying Dlamini was entitled to one(1) personal bodyguard while confirming that, the other escorts were recalled.
The Government Spokesperson subsequently said he won’t respond to this publication.
Efforts to reach ex-PM Cleopas Dlamini proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report.
On another note, Cleopas Dlamini was appointed as PM after allegedly allowing companies linked to King Mswati to ‘loot’ millions of public funds through questionable loans at the Public Service Pension Fund(PSPF), where he was the Chief Executive Officer(CEO).
But Dlamini was subsequently replaced with the current PM Russell Dlamini and before the appointment of the current Prime Minister, there were expectations suggesting that, Cleopas Dlamini might be re-appointed.
